Finding Safe Recipes

Baking on restricted diets can be challenging, and it is easy to get bored making the same few safe meals day after day. Many of us have spent time searching for new, safe recipes, possibly spending hours looking at all the delicious food allergy recipe blogs by creative chefs. It’s nice to add a physical cookbook to your kitchen shelf, too—and they make great gifts! Luckily, many wonderful gluten-free, dairy-free, egg-free, peanut-free or nut-free chefs have published books.

We found many helpful food allergy-friendly cookbooks addressing a variety of restricted diets. The cookbooks in the list below eliminate at least one of the major allergens – tree nuts, peanuts, dairy, eggs, soy, fish, shellfish, wheat, or gluten from their recipes. Vegan Cook Books (Dairy & Egg Free)

If you are avoiding eggs or dairy in your diet due to an allergy or intolerance, you may want to check out vegan and vegetarian cookbooks. Since vegans do not use animal products, all recipes will be free from eggs and dairy. Vegans have found some great ways to replace the leavening/binding effects of eggs and the creaminess of dairy.
